Disco Diva!

The 70's...
Donna Summer was truly a picture of grace and diva all in one... she was the Queen of Disco and she will be missed!

My last post being a tribute to the 80's, I thought I should work on a couple of decades...
The 70's were a decade of many looks, styles, and fashions...

The start of the 70's was really a continuation of the hippy-60's... fringed bell-bottoms & vests, tunics & sandals...
but as quickly as the 60's went from goody-two-shoes to hippy, the 70's made their way to glitz, glam, Farrah Fawcett & John Travolta...

So, here is my ode to the wildest decade of the last century... an ode to Donna Summer... an ode to my parents and their generation... the 70's!

Requirements for being a disco diva: shiny halter-top...

 Shiny eye makeup...
 Shiny Farrah Fawcett flipped hair...
A lot of shiny lipgloss!!!

(Again could've used more blush!)

Made in the 80s...

It's been a while...

Since 1984!!! The 80's were such a magical time filled with lots of hair and makeup! It wasn't just limited to ladies either, some of the manliest men wore the biggest most teased hair...
Ok, maybe Boy George is not the greatest example...
What about Motley Crue??? Now that's some manly makeup!!!

So with all the commercials circulating for the musical Rock of Ages, I just had to try out my best 80's look... and Lord knows I have had ladies to look up to! (My mother gave birth to me with a full face of makeup!!!)

The key to the 80's...lot's of hot-pink blush and wild eyeliner... (I coulda used a bit more blush- it just goes against everything I've been taught! Ha!)
and a large bow on the side of your moussed-up, teased hair!!!
I looked everywhere for a picture of the Momma in the 80's, she truly was somethin' to envy, but I'll have to keep searching!
